Orangeville Residents Invited to the Inaugural Meeting of Council for the 2022 – 2026 Term

The Town of Orangeville’s council meetings are set to resume on November 21, where the council-elect will be officially sworn into their new roles.

As part of this inaugural meeting, Mayor Elect Lisa Post, Deputy Mayor Elect Todd Taylor, and Councillors Elect Joe Andrews, Andy Macintosh, Tess Prendergast, Debbie Sherwood, and Rick Stevens, will be sworn in, beginning their four-years of service to the residents of Orangeville.

Rotary Park Redevelopment plan 2022 – Council approved in principle the Rotary Park Redevelopment Plan by GSP Group. Council directed staff to work in partnership with the Orangeville Rotary Club to begin planning the new proposed playground and to report back to Council during the 2023 budget process on final layouts and budget impacts.

Orangeville Transit – Council received and approved the report on the Orangeville Transit route design. Council agreed to redirect the approved 2021 capital funds, set aside for two new 30-foot low floor accessible buses, to purchase two new accessible mini-buses to offer a hybrid of fixed and on-demand service.
